hmm I haven't heard about any offices around my area doing that. We use needles. If you're concerned about pain, ask the person administering the injection to talk with you while they give it. That way you'll be distracted and will be less likely to anticipate the pain. Also, make sure that they let the alcohol dry first! If they swab your skin with the alcohol pad and then immediately give the injection, it will sting more. After you get your shots, keep the area moving to help the medication absorb more readily. Moving the area will also keep more blood flowing to the area which will help with healing.
