If true, can you at least download mp3s on another computer that has not been bought through the iTunes store? Man, this is what you do. Use this program call SharePod. It lets u dl the music you have from your ipod to ur pc. Then just copy the files you have into the folder where itunes sync. or w/e . Copy it anyway if u want a backup,
Nope, you can get stuff off a new comp but it will erase all the stuff you had on it before. (been there)

yeh its tru cuz wen ur installing ur itunes..it asked for ur ipod serial nuimber...tht verifies ur itunes tht only ur ipod can work on ur computer no1 elsee
Yes , its true . And you also cannot use that iTunes Library with any other iPod . But Yes , there is the option to download mp3 music from places other than the iTunes store . I use this to get music and other stuff for my iPod Video 30gb
