Is it true that if you use birth control your body can get use to it and you cant get pregnant?

im taking the birth control pill yasmin. %26amp; i heard some girl say she doesnt want to take birth control because 2 of her family members took it %26amp; now they cant get pregnant. can that happen? Is it true that if you use birth control your body can get use to it and you cant get pregnant?
no , but i have heard of that with depo shots.more than likely they have other causes that are keeping them from getting pregnant or your friend is full of crap 1 of the 2Is it true that if you use birth control your body can get use to it and you cant get pregnant?
It is always a possibility, however without knowing their DIRECT family Medical History there isn't a true way to lay blame. There might be a medical reason that caused that and had nothing to do with the pills. Don't EVER forget that EVERY individual BODY is different and just because it worked for them DOES NOT mean it will work for you! Don't be lead, use the brain that God gave you and research capabilities the internet gives you at your hand to form your own opinion!
Well I can tell you first hand that this is absolutely not true! I have been on the pill in the past for 3 years then off the pill for another 3 years then I started taking Yaz the last 2 years but since it was getting too expensive for me, even with insurance, I decided we should just use condoms.

I finished my last pack and started my period but then didn't start a new pack. 3 days after my period ended, we had technical difficulties with the condom and lo and behold, I got prego!

It's different for every woman but since your body gets used to all of the hormones and not ovulating, it can take a while for it to get back to normal hormonal levels. Ovulation begins to occur again but it can vary on the date of ovulation (for those familiar with the rhythm method). For me, I apparently ovulated 3 days after my period ended so...there you have it! No problems with the pregnancy up to this point too so I hope this helps you. I'm 28 by the way.
sometimes the body will forget how to drop the egg because birth control tricks the body in to thinking it already dropped the egg through hormones, soo yea sometimes the body will do that but its unlikely unless you've been on birth control for 15 years. but your body will probably eventually remember again and there is probably a treatment for if your body does forget. but like i said its very unlikely to happen
I think that there is like only a .1 % that you couls become pregnant while on birth control, but If you take an antibiodic while you are on birth control it can wipe out your birth control and you could become pregnant (it happened to me) so if you take antibiodics while on birth control remember to use protection if you don't want to ecome pregnanat.
It is possible, though not very likely. Whenever you alter your hormone balance, you take a chance of permanently altering your body chemistry. It is most likely if you are allergic to something in the pills. If you have been taking them for a while with no negative side effects, you are probably fine, but the only way to know for sure is to talk to you doctor.
there is a chance that it can make it harder to get pregnant. I know soooo many ppl who are having more difficulties with pregnancy who were on birth control but i dn't think it can make you NOT have kids. But than again i know someone who has two kids and they were condom and bc babies. So idk depends on the person i guess. Just be careful if you don't want kids at this moment at least use condoms and its good to be using birth control. best to double up.
idk... but thats why i had never started taking birth control. because i thought that some how it would effect me and then make it harder to concieve when i did want to have a child. but maybe it depends on how long your on it. im on the pill now. i really hope it doesnt mess me up so i cant have kids. but i dont think thats suppose to happen. it does seem like the people who get off the pill after being on it for so long have a harder time getting pregnant tho so im not sure.
ive heard about that too. i think its true. birth control stops your hormones %26amp; stops you from ovulating so if your body gets used to it then you may not be able to ovulate anymore.. i was on the patch for a while %26amp; stopped taking it b/c i heard about this also
No, the pill doesn't have any long-term effects on fertility. Once you stop taking it, you can get pregnant, provided you are fertile to begin with.
That's not true, i was on birth control for 4 years and after being off of them for like 6 months i got pregnant, so birth control is good to use and you can get pregnant after you get off of them.
I doubt very seriously it's because of the pill. It does not make you sterile. Please whatever you do, stay on birth control.
i don't think so i was on birth control for 4year than i got off and have 1 child and one on the way
Its possible. You can get preagnet no matter what Birth control does not help you all the time.
That is def. a false statement.

Don't worry.
Your friend has a large turd sitting in her head in place of a brain.
heck no if u have sex there is always a possibility ur gonna get pregnant. birth control....give me break. lies lies lies.
No, those girls are spoon-fed morons.
no not at all please use birth control
No, if you are on it for a really long time, it might take you longer to get pregnant. there have been cases when a new form of birth control comes out that some women experience infertility after using it, like the Depo shot. My aunt used that when it first came out and now cant have children. But with the pill, there is no risk of that happening.
