Why are they using so much energy? The consequences of global warming are faced by people like me who lives in india and millions others living in poorer nations. Its 42 C here already. Usa makes me sick.Is it true usa use 70% of world's total energy and doesnt even house 10% of world's population?
I don't know about usa but it is true that 10% of the richest population in the world uses about 70% of total energy and not only energy but also food supplies. I also live in India and its a lot true that the consequences of their over use are seen in india


Remember when bush said that the food prices are going up because people in india are eating too much!!!

Well I do live in the U.S. and it seems to me even if they did, most wouldnt give a crap anyway! Im losing faith in our people. This society is getting so individualized, it makes me soooo mad. I could never be a billionaire and know there is starving children in my own country, or even a millionaire, and not go about broke trying to help our people. How much is enough for these people, thats what I want to know? Everyone should at least have the basics in this country. There is no excuse for half our country to be well off and the other half cant afford a gallon of milk or bread!

No it is not true. The United States accounts for about 25% of world energy consumption and about the same percentage of world GDP. Energy consumption is related to production, not population.
