Is it true that a magician can use heptane to create an illusion of a hand burning?

I read this somewhere that one can dip a torch within a can of heptane and place the torch on your hand and the top of your hand burns but you can't fill it. Just close your fist to extinguish it. Is this true?Is it true that a magician can use heptane to create an illusion of a hand burning?
I'm not encouraging you to play with fire, but I did when I was younger. My friends and I would use any flammable liquid and light our hands on fire. It is true, you don't really feel it, cause it's just the accelerant burning.

I don't suggest you do it, but yes, you just close your hand to extinguish it.Is it true that a magician can use heptane to create an illusion of a hand burning?
Yes, but you can also use 50/50 rubbing alcohol/water mix.
