I just don't see how that can be.Is it true that Americans use more electricity, gas, and water than the rest of the world?
americans use more energy, but produce more goods and services with that energy than most of the world.

in total the US consumes more electricity, gas, oil and water than the rest of the world. But in per capita the Australians are the champions (US comes second).
I believe its probably per capita. In total, the US consumes about 1/4 of the energy produced. However, China is second and will eventually move into first place as they continue their reindustrializtion.
