Is it true that if you use a tampon your hymen breaks?

I've read a few times that your hymen breaks if you use a tampon but my friends told me that it's just a myth.Is it true that if you use a tampon your hymen breaks?

That depends on your hymen and how you're using the tampon. If you're ramming the thing in then you might accidentally break it. imho...

for some people it might, but it doesn't with everyone and some people break their hymens before that.
