My uncle just got back from a fishing trip to Northern Canada and he swears that the outfitters and guide companies supply kittens as fish bait. He claims that they are used when fishing for pike, sturgeon and muskellunges.
I think he's having me on. They don't really do that; do they?Is it true that North Americans use cats for fish bait?
No Way!!!! We dont use kitten as bait first of all that against the law and secondly that not a biat Pike would normally go forIs it true that North Americans use cats for fish bait?
Cats as in catfish i'm assuming. A 6 inch bullhead cat(fish) is a great bait for pike and muskie.
However, in the french republic, fishermen do troll stray dogs behind their boats as sharkbait. It's really sad. thats 1 think i support peta in to stop.
If you are going fishing for cat-fish, what better bait could there be? This time of year the males are spawning so I pick out a real cute female kitten to attract the males and I always bring home a full stringer. ;~)
not true
