Is it true that you should still use a condom the first month that you start on birth control pills?

i heard you should wait one month for the pill to take effect and i also heard you should wait three months for the pill to take effect.

but i read the instructions and it didn't say anything about that....

is it a myth?Is it true that you should still use a condom the first month that you start on birth control pills?
Not meaning to preach. But you should always use a condom... never can be too careful. Is it true that you should still use a condom the first month that you start on birth control pills?
Actually, it takes 7 days to birth control pills to take effect. However, if you take the first pill on the first day of your period you are protected right away.

It's always good to use a back up method like condoms, but if you take your birth control correctly (meaning, never skipping pill %26amp; taking them on time) your risk of pregnancy will be very low. Of course, it does not prevent or protect against STDs.

Those communities are very helpful.
Oh please God.

Did your mother or sex ed teach you idiots ANYTHING!?

You still have to wear a condom when you're on birth control. Always. BC doesn't protect from stds. And yes, the pill does take up to 6 months to actually take effect. Go read a book. Stay in school.
It's always safe than to be sorry, there's nothing wrong with adding alittle more protection so you don't become a parent.Because sometimes it can take birth control pills to take a little longer on girls cuz all girl bodies are different.
I would recommend it. You should always give the pills at least one cycle before you can consider it effective. Even then its still not 100%.

you should always wear protection

even if your on birth control

because neither is a 100% effective
you should ALWAYS wear one! unless you want a sexually transmitted disease! hellllloooo!!!!
Yes that would be wise.
you should use one anyway for disease sake
Yes, you should. Or another form of birth contol. The pill doesn't kick in right away!
You should always use condoms even after the first month on the pill. Until you've both been tested, you should continue to use condoms. Hope this helps :)
My father was a physician and I asked him once before I was going to get married, how long before the wedding did my fiance need to start on birth control pills. He said 30 days.
It takes one full month for the pills to become fully effective. You need to use comdoms.Your Dr.should have explained that. How come nobody worries about stds anymore?
No, ditch the pills, just let him nut in you, the risk is SO ****** hot!
yea u should it takes a month b4 the pill starts 2 work
