Is it true they use dog's dead bodies to make dog food?

I heard if a owner doesn't want a dog's body when it's put down they use it to make dog food? Seriously? Is it true they use dog's dead bodies to make dog food?
what pets eat are lungs, ligaments, bones, blood and intestines. Some other things that go into rendering to make your Cat and Dog Food are:

* Euthanized companion animals Cats and Dogs

* Spoiled meat from the supermarket, Styrofoam wrapping and all

* Road kill that can't be buried on the roadside

* The ';4 D's'; of cattle: dead, dying, disease and disabledIs it true they use dog's dead bodies to make dog food?
Cheap brands like Pedigree and Purina have been found to use a number of horrifying sources for their food ingredients, including euthanized pets, roadkill, slaughter animals rejected from human food supplies (due to disease, mainly), filler ingredients like peanut shells and newspaper, etc. Most of their profits go to advertising and promoting charities, all to increase their business, while very little money actually goes into producing the crap they call food.

Quality organic brands (typically the ones you don't see advertised) put all their money into making the food, which means a much higher quality of food. Brands like Wellness, Innova Evo, Artemis, etc. use better ingredients. They cost more, but it's worth it. Dogs who are fed cheap brands are often overweight, suffer from allergies, dandruff, dull coats, shedding, greasy hair, and generally poor health- imagine feeding a child nothing but McDonald's food from a restaurant with a rat problem. That's about the equivalent of feeding a dog Pedigree or Purina.

A lot of people on here claim that we are ';dog food snobs'; and will swear that all dog foods are the same. These people are just uneducated or in denial. There is a HUGE difference between good and bad dog food, and a huge difference between a dog that is fed good food and a dog that is fed bad food. People can justify it however they want, it doesn't change the facts.
Some people do believe anything.........

No, the FDA did a study at one point looking for dog and cat DNA in rendered meat used by the pet food industry. While they DID find anesthetic chemicals and other chemicals, these were from the animals that were rendered down for the meat--sheep, cows and horses. Not dog and cat. Heat does not get rid of or cover up DNA and certain medical chemicals.

The food is fine, it has no dogs in it. Vet clinics dispose of dead animals by cremation, not by selling the meat to suppliers who turn it over to the pet food industry. It's very regulated.
I got the real scoop from a vet named Vincent Andrews on line it's true they use dog collars dog tags and plastic trash bags along with the mix ,I found a DR. Jane Bicks dvm who makes and sells all good natural dog food on line called Life's Abundance Most of the store brands mix dead animals into their food. This dog food has No artificial flavors, colors, corn, gluten,or wheat gluten that's bad for your dog.good luck.
Gee and humans too -------------- NOT

No, there are no dead dogs in your dog food.

In one form or another dogs have always eaten the ';left overs'; from what we eat. That hasn't changed. The only difference is that those leftovers come from the processing of what we eat instead of the kitchen table.

THAT IS PURE BULL_S***

To begin with, Nestles-Purina is the worlds largest producer of HUMAN foods. As a result they have an unending supply of QUALITY ingredients. You may disagree with their choice of ingredients, but the quality of those ingredients is above reproach.

Now of course in the case of some of those ';QUALITY'; foods that some on YA like to recommend, just where do you suppose they get their VENISON?
Euthanized shelter dogs are often processed into commercial dog food.. yes.

If the dog food ingredients say ';meat';.. it could have cats and dogs in it. ';meat'; can be anything.. chicken, beef, horse, cat, dog, etc.

Thats why its important to find food that specifically states the type of product in it.. for example ';Beef';.. or ';Chicken'; ';Lamb';, etc.
NO! However, when an animal is rendered, they do use their body's in cosmetics/glue's and different products. Generally why vet clinics recommend burying or group/priv cremation first. But it is a cheaper option :(
NO you shouldn't believe everything you hear
no it is not true.
No.
no! of course not
