I don't know if heating affects all cameras that supports live view and movie mode. But I think you should consider it, since (almost) all cameras works on the same principle, even if video lenght of most common cameras are limited only by storage space.It is true that excessive use of Movie Mode in a Digital Camera may damage the sensor in the long run?
I don't think this is a problem. I use Movie mode very often and both pictures and movies are not in lower quality since I bought the camera.
