Is it true you can't use metal in a microwave oven?

I've seen ';yes'; and ';no'; answers. I'm not sure.Is it true you can't use metal in a microwave oven?
from experience NO! my nephew left a spoon in a cup and heated it up in the microwave, pretty much melted the inside, lots of sparks and smoke.

Would not advise!! unless your just curious and ready to invest in a new microwave. Is it true you can't use metal in a microwave oven?
You CANNOT use metal in a microwave. It will spark %26amp; catch on fire. Trust me, I hve accidently done it several times!
you can just be careful
yes its true... don't try it... believe me!
You can't unless you want to blow up( actually it sorta' does) your microwave. Oh yeah, your mom's gonna' be proud of you.
If you want to buy a new microwave oven then put metal in it, there is no way that you can use metal in the microwave,
It's VERY true. Use only if if says ';microwave safe'; on the container. The Campbell's soup at hand container has small amount of metal on rim but is microwave safe. Even foil is bad. When I was a teenager I microwaved an Arby's sandwich (wrapped in foil like paper) It caught on fire while it was heating so don't risk it.
Don't use metal in a microwave. It causes sparks and can catch on fire
Yes can use metal in a microwave oven but you can't use foil.
do you keep any dogs?

they can teach you how to use.

they are smart

I saw news from CNN

okay first of all vsunlight needs to lay off the crack! And yes it is not safe it can catch fire and sometimes even cause an explosion.
go ahead but i hope your in the mood to buy a new microwave.
The theory is it will reflect the waves and make the unit explode.. and apparently this has happend.
yes
You can put metal in a microwave but it will spark and catch on fire.

You should not put metal in a microwave for that very reason unless you goals is to burn down your house.
