Is it true that use of advil or aleve will slow a heavy period?

as perscribed by my ob/gyn i am on birth control, to regulate my periods. i think the pill causes a heavier flow, which can lead to leakage, is there any way to slow these periods down?Is it true that use of advil or aleve will slow a heavy period?

Do not use advil or aleve to slow periods, they will only help with cramps. Do not take any more than what is directed on the bottle/box of advil/aleve.
